Highlight: Vigilante – Boku no Hero Academia Illegals

Vigilante.pngBoku no Hero Academia, the story of one boys quest to become the top hero in a world of them, has without a doubt taken the world by storm lately. Both the original manga and the anime have caught people’s attention, myself included. In fact, and I know this will make me sound like a hipster, I’ve been following since when its first chapters released. My point is it’s something I’ve loved since it began and am super glad that’s lots of other people now share that enjoyment.

Anyways a few months back I discovered a spinoff series for Boku no Hero, one that caught my attention. However seeing as it’s fairly new it’s understandable that it’s a bit unknown. Well I aim to do my part in changing that and help more fans of the orginal find a supplementary work worth their attention.

So today I want to highlight the ongoing 2016 spin-off manga, Vigilante – Boku no Hero Academia Illegals!

Fish’s Thoughts: Great Anime Moms

anime mom bannerFirst off, I should apologize for this being as late as it is mates. I try and keep a consistent posting schedule, however I really haven’t been doing very well with that lately.

Anyways, with Mother’s Day having just passed us by, I’ve been thinking about mothers in relation to anime. It’s fairly common in anime for mothers to be rather unseen, or in more severe cases, dead (looking at you Full Metal Alchemist). As such it’s fairly rare that the whole concept of motherhood is ever explored in anime, but when it is it makes for a welcome change. So with that in my I’d like to take the chance to talks about two mothers from two of my favorite animes that I feel are not only solid characters, but great moms!

Today mate I want to talk about Sachiko Fujinuma and Inko Midoriya!

Fish’s Thoughts: The Heroic Legend of Arslan

arslan and daryunOne of my early post here on EhTaku was an First Impressions of The Heroic Legend of Arslan anime, an adaptation of the manga by Hiromu Arakawa. At the time of writing that post the anime had only just begin airing so I ended up only giving my thoughts on the first three episodes. Well now that I’ve seen the show through a few times I feel like I should share some more thoughts, based on my now fuller knowledge. This may get into spoiler territory however, so if you have not yet seen the show consider yourself warned.

Now let’s take another look over The Heroic Legend of Arslan!

Fish’s Thoughts: RWBY Season 4

rwby season 4 bannerSo now that I’ve gotten the two mini-series done and things are returning to normal around here, I think it’s time to get on something that has been on the back burner. I’ve given my thoughts on the other three seasons of RWBY, so now it’s time to do the same for the recently concluded Season 4. However this time round I’m going to go about it slightly different. Whereas the others I did as full on Overviews, I’m going to just outline some of the key things I liked and disliked in Season 4, as I feel that a Overview is unneeded at this point. With that understood the only other thing I should mention is that I may steer into spoiler territory, so if you’re not caught up and don’t want things ruined then this is you warning in advance.

Now for the rest of you, here’s my thoughts on RWBY Season 4!

Highlight: Toph Beifong

toph bannerI have always been a fan of disabled characters, especially those who still fight despite them. I find it makes a character seem doubly awesome and more inspiring. So give me a character that is not just a skilled fighter, but also arguably the greatest at their style of fighting, and they become shoe in for my favorites list.

Today mates I want to talk about the blind powerhouse that is, Toph Beifong!

Highlight: Felli Loss

felli loss bannerAs you’ve probably noticed from my last two post, I tend to be a more of a fan of older characters. I tend to find the standard anime fair of school kids a tad to melodramatic for my taste. However there is a odd exception to this from time to time. One such character is the female lead of the lesser known anime Chrome Shelled Regios. Today I want to take a look at the tiny snow queen known as Felli Loss!
