Fish’s Thoughts: Pre-E3 2017

e3 bannerLast week I asked for suggestions on what to talk about in hopes of getting over the writer’s block I’ve been having for the past few weeks. One suggestion I received came from Faust, who has followed EhTaku for quite some time now, asking what I was hoping to see at E3 this year.

Well mates here is the answer to that question!

This is the short list of my Pre-E3 hopes!

Fish’s Thoughts: Difficulty And Dark Souls

souls series bannerSo as some of you may know, I’m a pretty big fan of RPGS, largely a result of them being some of the first games I played. I love getting lost in their massively expansive worlds and exploring the many secrets they have scattered throughout. However as of late solid RPG have become a bit few and far between, seeing as to how much work they are to make.

Of the few highly regarded ones that have come out in the last, probably the most infamous is the Souls series by From Software. These games are known for being brutally hard and today I want to talk about that.

Fish’s Thoughts: Morrowind and Games Aging

morrowing bannerA large part of my love of games is focused in the realm of RPGs. Among these one of my favorites is the popular The Elders Scrolls series, especially Skyrim. I find the lore and world that exist in them fascinating! That however is a topic for another day. Today I want to talk about one major problem I have with the older games in the series, mainly Morrowind.

Simply put, I just can’t play it for any extended period of time.

Overview: Dungeon Fighter Online

dungeon fighter online bannerI’ve played a multitude of MMOs throughout the years, most of them Free to Play. The first of these was “FlyFF”, which I played for about a month before getting bored. From there I tried a handful of others, but every time I quickly abandoned them. They were all empty shells, not having a lot to offer. Then one day I discovered one that was different, one that I actually enjoyed and have continued to come back to over the years.

That game is Dungeon Fighter Online and today I want to take a look over it!

Highlight: Shanoa

shanoa bannerWell, it’s February mates, and that means that Winter is finally on its way out!

It also just happens to be the month I was born, so I figured it would be the perfect time to take a look at some of the characters I like! As such over the next four weeks I will be doing a series of Highlights explaining a bit about why I like them, just like I did for Hilda a few weeks back.

Now seeing as this is the first post of the series, I figured it would be only fitting to talk about my favorite character from one of the first games I really connected with.So come with me mates as I take a look over the protagonist of the excellent Castlevania: Order of Ecclesia, Shanoa!

Fish’s Thoughts: Alola Pokemon

pokemon_alola_regionSo in my last post I did a Top 12 of my favorite Pokemon, spanning from Kanto to Kalos. However Alola sadly got left out as at the time of writing Sun and Moon were yet to be released. However after playing through my copy of Sun I started to realize I had some thoughts on the Pokemon of the Alola region, both for the new creatures and the regional variations.

As such I’d like to share those thoughts and give you what I feel are a few of Alola’s best and worst. I should just note beforehand though that these aren’t listed by rank, as enough time hasn’t passed for me to really nail that down. Instead this is more of an informal collections of thoughts on a couple creatures.
So with that said, let’s begin! Here are my thoughts on Alola Pokemon!
